Track 3d

Meet Tim Roberts!

Track3D’s Customer Success Manager, bringing years of field experience to help construction teams get more out of reality data.

From the Field to the Frontlines of Construction Tech

Before joining Track3D, Tim built his career on jobsites. His early years were spent working across various trades, gaining a hands-on understanding of how construction actually unfolds on the ground. Over time, that led to roles in project management, first with a telecommunications contractor and then with a structural shoring and scaffolding firm.

That journey gave him an insider’s perspective on the pace, complexity, and coordination challenges that define construction today. It also gave him a deep appreciation for what makes a tool useful in the field, not just flashy or new, but something that works in the real world.

Why Track3D Felt Like the Right Fit

What first caught Tim’s attention about Track3D was the product. Progress tracking through visual data felt like the kind of tech construction actually needed. “It presented as a tool that was moving in the right direction,” he said.

But after his first conversation with the team, it was clear there was more to it. What really stayed with him was the team’s work ethic and mindset, the way they listened to client feedback, adapted quickly, and kept the focus on what would genuinely help field teams. “That stood out as a winning team to me,” he further mentions.

Stepping into the Role

Tim’s experience in construction is foundational to how he works today. Having worked in the field and managed projects, he brings a set of “customer eyes” to every conversation, a perspective that helps bridge the gap between Track3D and the project teams we support.

Since joining, he’s found that the relationship Track3D has with its customers makes a real difference. There’s a shared sense of purpose, one common goal that pushes both sides forward. For Tim, that’s created space to contribute freely and shape the role in a way that reflects how teams use the platform on-site.

The transition into this role was made easier by the team around him. From the beginning, the welcome and support exceeded expectations. It felt natural to work hard and enjoy the work. “I feel like I’ve known the team for years,” he said. That culture of accountability, both personal and shared, is something he appreciates and sees as a strength of the team.

In his current role, he’s helping build Track3D’s customer success blueprints — resources and approaches that make onboarding smoother and more scalable. He’s also working to better understand which insights matter most to field teams and how to deliver those insights in a way that’s timely and useful.

A Month to Remember

January was a significant month for Tim, both personally and professionally. In January, he passed his PMP certification, a milestone that reflects years of experience and dedication to the craft of project management.

In that same month, he and his partner also welcomed their first child, making it a season of growth, change, and brand-new routines.

Outside the Jobsite

Tim spends a lot of time outdoors. He’s into mountain biking, skateboarding, and exploring nature. He’s also a certified skateboarding instructor and teaches lessons to kids in Pennsylvania, something that began casually and has grown into a regular part of his life.

And here’s one most people wouldn’t guess: the first time he ever boarded an airplane, it was for a skydiving jump. “I can say truthfully that the first airplane I got into, I jumped out of,” he says.

The Road Ahead

Tim’s excited about both the Track3D platform and the people using it. There’s already a strong foundation in place, and he sees even more potential in how visual capture can continue to simplify and strengthen site workflows. He’s also looking forward to contributing further to Track3D’s customer success blueprints and helping more field teams unlock the full value of the tool.

In just a few months, Tim has brought a grounded, field-driven perspective to the Track3D team and has already helped strengthen how the platform supports customers across the board. His work reflects a clear understanding of what construction teams need and a thoughtful approach to building tools that delivers on that promise.

Track3D runs on people like Tim — grounded, curious, and committed to improving how construction works.
