Humans of Track3D: Samir Patel

Meet Samir Patel, Track3D’s Customer Success Lead, a Nuclear Engineer turned Construction Tech Advocate.

An Unconventional Path to Construction Tech

Samir Patel didn’t follow the typical path into construction technology. With a degree in nuclear engineering and over a decade of experience in the utilities and energy sector, he has found his true calling in an industry that’s only just beginning to tap into the true potential of technology.

“The construction industry has been around forever, and we are still just scratching the surface when it comes to applying technologies that can help remove inefficiencies and help us build smarter. I’m excited to be part of a company that’s leading the way in this transformation, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the industry.” Samir explains

Thriving at Track3D

Samir describes his time at Track3D as ‘truly exceptional.’ The team’s dedication to excellence caught his attention immediately, and the work ethic proved to be both admirable and contagious.

He says, “The collaborative environment has shown me how taking initiative and wearing multiple hats can drive both personal growth and team success. It’s been especially rewarding to see how our product actively shapes the construction industry, making job sites more efficient and data-driven.”

When describing Track3D’s culture, Samir sums it up in three words: “Fun, fast & fostering.” Samir appreciates how his team is always there to help. He says, “Many times, I have needed help, and someone was always there to support me. I appreciate how dedicated everyone is to this mission.”

Creating Foundational Infrastructure

When asked about his proudest achievement, he shares that he’s proud to leverage his past startup experience to help build foundational customer success infrastructure at Track3D, with a focus on establishing principles, processes, and procedures designed to scale as the company grows.

The framework he’s helped create has improved efficiency and collaboration across the company, positioning Track3D to continue innovating and making a lasting impact in the construction technology space.

As the Customer Success Lead, Samir sees his role as crucial in acting as the conduit between Track3D’s internal teams and their customers. “We need to ensure that, as we continue to be the tech leader in construction, we align our product and company roadmap with the customer’s business goals. We cannot be successful if we don’t make them successful.” He explains.

Beyond Track3D

Outside of work, Samir has pursuits you might not expect. He’s currently writing a science fiction novel, and he’s genuinely excited to share chapters with anyone interested. He co-hosts a weekly podcast and also enjoys running.

That nuclear engineering degree tends to catch people off guard too. It’s not the typical background you’d expect in customer success, but it speaks to the diverse thinking that drives innovation.

Samir loves traveling with his wife and his two larger-than-life sons, a good reminder that the energy he brings to work starts with the people who matter most.

The Impact of Innovation

Samir knows that technology is only as good as the people using it and the problems it solves. His educational background gives him the technical foundation to understand complex systems, while his startup experience provides the agility to build processes that scale.

Eight months in, and he’s already become instrumental in how Track3D connects with its customers and builds for the future. For an industry that’s been ‘scratching the surface’ of technology’s potential, having someone like Samir bridging the gap between innovation and implementation might be exactly what’s needed for us.

The Humans of Track3D series celebrates the people of our company who make our culture strong, our mission real, and our team stronger every day.
