Our March product update brings exciting new features and enhancements designed to empower construction teams with greater control, improved onboarding, and enhanced collaboration. Let’s dive into the details of these updates:
Permission Management
Empowering Admins with Custom Access Control
The new Permissions Management feature allows for the creation of custom roles tailored to specific project needs, ensuring that team members have access only to the features they require. This gives project admins better control over team access to platform features.
Key benefits include:
- Better control over feature access (e.g., progress tracking, note management, BIM comparison)
- Can assign certain categories in the progress module
- Enhanced security by restricting access to sensitive data
- Improved collaboration through role alignment with team responsibilities
- Streamlined workflows and optimized project management
Why It Matters: This feature addresses the limitations of the previous three-role system, allowing for more nuanced access control. This helps hide the clutter to give a clean experience to respective users. For example, Internal Teams can have many notes, which are not relevant for external partners, so you can hide them using permissions.
Improved Add User Flow
Streamlining Team Onboarding
We’ve revamped the process of adding new users to projects, focusing on flexibility and engagement.
Key improvements:
- Removal of time limitations for accepting invitations
- Bulk Import (CSV Upload): Allows admins to invite multiple users at once, auto-assigning roles and validating emails.
- Direct addition of already signed-up users to projects
Why It Matters: These enhancements significantly streamline the onboarding process and improve project management efficiency. The removal of time limitations provides flexibility for team members to join at their convenience. The bulk import feature saves time and reduces errors when adding multiple users, especially for large projects. Direct addition of existing users speeds up the process for those already on the platform.
New Signup Flow
Personalizing User Experience from the Start
We’ve enhanced our signup process to gather more relevant information about our users, allowing us to offer a more tailored experience.b
New additions to the signup flow:
- Company type selection (General Contractor, Owner, or Trade Partner) – for first-time company signups.
- Optional mobile number field for improved communication
- Designation (Job Title) field.
Why it Matters: This update enables us to provide curated experience, relevant services, resources, and pricing structures based on user roles. The optional mobile number allows for quick communication regarding urgent updates or critical issues.
