UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)

A UAV, commonly called a drone, is a remotely piloted or autonomous aircraft used in construction to capture aerial imagery, video, and mapping data.

What is a UAV?

A UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is an aircraft that flies without an onboard pilot — remotely controlled or following pre-programmed flight paths. In construction, UAVs carry cameras and sensors that capture site imagery for mapping, progress tracking, and inspection.

How It Works

A flight plan is programmed over the site → the UAV flies automated passes capturing overlapping images → imagery is processed with photogrammetry software into maps and 3D models → outputs are georeferenced with ground control points or RTK positioning.
