GPS Coordinates

GPS coordinates specify a precise location on Earth using latitude, longitude, and elevation, enabling georeferencing of site data and captures.

What are GPS Coordinates?

GPS coordinates express a position on Earth — latitude, longitude, and often elevation — determined from satellite signals. In construction they anchor drawings, models, and captured imagery to real-world locations.

How It Works

GNSS receivers measure signals from multiple satellites to compute position → accuracy ranges from metres (consumer GPS) to centimetres with RTK/PPK corrections → captured data tagged with coordinates can be aligned to site coordinate systems.
