Good project data reflects what’s happening on site and lets teams act on it quickly. This release is about closing the gap between the two: faster progress marking for count assets, a complete activity log of the progress and takeoff updates, and a temporary schedule that can be added within Track3D.
Here’s what’s new:
1. Change Schedule Instantly without a file upload
Schedules on active sites change often, sometimes several times over the course of a project. With this release, you can change schedule dates instantly, directly on the Trends page, for any trade, at the floor level or a specific zone, no file upload required.
With this update, you can now:
- Adjust Dates Without a File Upload: Open Change Schedule on the Trends page and set a new date range for any trade, at the floor level or a specific zone.
- See the Full Impact Before Committing: Planned rate, required rate, average rate, manpower estimates, and estimated completion all recalculate instantly based on the new dates, so you know the outcome before anything is final.
- Sync Only When You’re Ready: A single click replaces the original schedule file on Track3D with the new dates, and every change is logged for reference later.
The result is a schedule that reflects real site conditions at whatever level your team plans around.
2. Complete Activity Log and Progress Filters
Track3D’s Activity Log keeps a running record of every action taken on a project’s progress, who created an asset, deleted it, moved it, or changed its stage. Progress Filters let you narrow that record down to exactly what you’re looking for.
With this update, you can now:
- See Every Takeoff Action, Too: Creation, deletion, geometry edits, height and multiplier changes, renaming, and linking on a Takeoff asset now generate their own entry in the Activity Log.
- Narrow Down to What You Need: Filter the Activity Log by category, stage, type of action, date, or a specific project member.
- Find It Quickly: Locate the exact change you need without scanning through hundreds of entries.
The result is full traceability across Progress and Takeoff, so it’s always clear what changed and who changed it.
3. One-Click Count Asset Creation
Count assets such as doors, lights, and fixtures have always meant drawing a full shape, line by line, just to mark progress for one.
With this update, you can now:
- Assign a Shape Once: Set a default shape for a category in Progress Configuration, and every stage underneath it inherits that shape automatically.
- Mark Assets with a Single Click: Pick a category and stage, set a preferred size, and place each asset with one click directly on the floorplan.
- Update Shapes Anytime: Change a count category’s shape whenever you need to from Progress Configuration; every existing asset updates automatically to match.
The result is faster progress marking for count assets, with the same accuracy as before.
