What is a Digital Twin?
A digital twin is a living digital replica of a physical asset or environment. Unlike a static 3D model, it is continuously updated with captured data — imagery, scans, sensor feeds — so it reflects the asset’s current, real-world state.
How It Works
A baseline model (BIM or reality capture) is established → recurring captures and sensor data update the twin → changes over time are tracked, compared, and analysed → teams query the twin instead of visiting the site.
